Paint a Spring Onion in Watercolour

Hello, I'm Emma. I paint botanicals from life in my studio in Worcestershire, and I teach people all over the world to do the same.

This spring onion is one of my favourite subjects to teach. It looks simple, and that's exactly why it works: papery skin, soft greens and those fine trailing roots will teach you more about layering watercolour than a complicated bloom ever could.

Pop your email below and I'll open the full video tutorial for you straight away, with the line drawing and materials list to download. It costs nothing, and you'll also hear from me when new free tutorials and live classes come up.
