Strawberry Leaf in Water Colour

A botanical art tutorial by Emma Tildesley.

This month I wanted to encourage you to start a leaf library so that you can start to learn a little bit more about botany and the structures of the subjects you are painting.

I am starting us off with this Strawberry Leaf but you are free to paint what ever leaves you fancy in your journal. You don't have to use the same sketchbook as me, use whichever watercolour sketchbook you like. Or if you want to do your journal in coloured pencil or graphite or even pen and ink, then go for it.

It would be great to see what leaves you put in your journals so post them in the chat or on the FB group.

Here is the Etsy link for the digital download of the leaf identification chart.
